Burnt Bagels and Firetrucks

After a long wait at the doctors office, the nurse finally called our Mom. We walked down the hall through the smell of smoldering bagels to room number 6. Our buddy Sheila, explained that somebody forgot their bagel in the toaster. It seemed like maybe room number 5 was up in flames - it was that smokey. As far as our check-up, everything is a-okay. We even got to be on TV so Mom and Dad could see us. We like to be on TV, it makes everyone happy! Our next visit is Mother's Day weekend, just for our Mommy! As we were walking out of the doctors office we got to hear our first Firetrucks. Wow, those things are loud... but boy are they cool. We think they were there for the bagels.

fruit stripes

Mom and Dad went shopping today and brought us back each a cool outift from Baby Gap. We are both wondering if they'll fit after our Trader Joe's shopping bonanza! Only time will tell. If we're lucky Mommy will stitch something on them.

Belly Pats and Little Kicks

So the other day I was at the grocery store and received my very first 'belly pat' from a total stranger. One would think that this may be an akward moment...like their space has been invaded. But to me it was a reminder that our little peanuts are getting bigger and preparing to meet the world . I've even felt a few kicks over the past week...more like little flutters. And Hubby has even felt a kick or two...absolutely amazing.

A crib and an elephant.

Ok the difference between crib "A"...

... and crib "B" is... well let's just say, enough to almost buy one of the Eames Elephants. Can you tell which is $1450 and which is $299? Either can we.

Happy Birthday Aunt Jen!!!

Wishing a wonderful Birthday to Aunt Jen, who happens to be the wonderful Mommy of our cousins, Lindsay and Lauren - also twin girls! We are very excited to see you in June!!!

The Twin Bunch Brunch

So this morning we had breakfast with our parent's friends who are also expecting twins. Rebecca and Mike are a few weeks behind Mommy and Daddy, and boy did our parents have a lot to talk about. It was great to get together with parents who also have 'babies on the brain.' We have a feeling this won't be the last get together.

Do the right thing...

...it's Earth Day. Plant a tree...wait plant 10, recycle, change your light bulbs... just do something. If none of these strike your fancy, at least watch Planet Earth tonight...

The Starter Kit

We finally have a list of objects that will help us come into this world comfortably. Mom calls it a registry, but to us it's a Starter Kit for Life. Mommy and Daddy seem to be a little confused on what to get, so they kept it simple...they think? The lists came from Babies R Us and The Right Start.

New Jack

This is our friend Jack. He just started his own blog. We haven't met yet, but I can already tell you, we'll be friends for a very long time. Welcome to the web, Jack.

Pasta and Parent Lessons

We went to Mommy's favorite Italian place, Roman Cucina with the wonderful and always entertaining Steeles. I'm so glad we did because we're half way there and Mom and Dad haven't taken any classes yet. All is good now. Chaz and Steffany gave them the Safe Baby Handling Tip book which every parent-to-be should have. Without this book we would have been in big trouble. Thanks again Mr. and Mrs. Steele, we owe you.

Oh, and Mommy knew these people... they were sitting next to us.

Needle little break?

Knitting. Yes, I said it. Mommy is taking on the challenge. Thanks to our friend Nyk and this website, our Mommy has found a new hobby. At first we were suspect, but after hearing Mommy talk about making us stuff, we're all about it! For now, it's all about mastering this new found art. Since technically we can't try anything on yet... where's Red? He'll fit into our onesies...

Thinking of you Buddy

Aunt Amy's dog Buddy has to visit the doctor for surgery on Tuesday. Buddy was rescued and is now living in a very happy home. He is the sweetest dog ever, and we know this wise old man will do just fine. Get well soon Buddy!!!

What's in a Name?

Ok, so now that the doctor is sure we're little girls, Mommy and Daddy must narrow down that list of names. Here is what they have so far:
Stella
Chloe
Addison
Sophia
They are thinking of using family names for our middle names...more on this later.

Grandma H Called...

...and emailed us a few pics of the kitties Quincy and Sadie. Quincy is the scary one and Sadie is hiding outside in the bushes. I can see her, can you?

Material Girls

So we started out yesterday with a trip to a few baby stores. We have a feeling this is just the beginning. Mommy and Daddy found a few items on-line that they wanted to check out. We ventured north to Manhattan Beach to a store called The Right Start. They have tons of cool and modern baby/toddler gear. We finally found the color of infant car seats that we've been looking for. We also checked out the Uppababy stroller and a few cribs. Then we headed over to Elliot's house for a visit. It was really nice seeing Uncle Joel and Elliot. After catching up, we headed to our buddy Red's house.

Red was very excited to have visitors. So excited, he gave us our very first gifts...these cute baby shoes. We had dinner planned at a yummy Japanese Steakhouse with Red's parents, Juston and Tiff. We all had a really good time and left feeling very stuffed - great company, wonderful food and time for a long nap.

All Bets Are In...

Well, Friday was our 20 week ultrasound and for all those wagering bets...here are the results. After a full hour on the table (and no, not the craps table), our very nice ultrasound technician Sheila, took us each through a very thorough anatomy scan. We're happy to report that all of our fingers, toes and organs are healthy and measuring as scheduled. Baby "A" weighs 11 oz. and Baby "B" 9.5 oz. Our heartbeats are 151 and 156 bpm respectively. And last but not least...we are both going to be wearing PINK!!!

Our First Road Trip!

A couple weeks ago we took our first road trip to Vegas to meet Grandma and Grandpa "B." We cannot believe how much they love us already! We feel so lucky to have so many special people in our lives...
Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa had a great time together. They gambled a little, had yummy food and went to see a great show. It was a 'circus type show' that Mommy called Cirque du Soleil. It was really fun to see all the acrobats and there was even a baby in the show! But time sure goes by fast when you're having fun. I know Mommy was very sad to send them off.

Past Belly Pics

Here are a few pics of Mommy's growing belly. Daddy took the photos every few weeks beginning in February. Stay tuned for future pics.

Testing... one, two.

If you haven't noticed already, we're Dr. Seuss fans.

Hello Everyone!

Finally got the blog up and running and wanted to take a minute to introduce ourselves. We are baby "A" and baby "B"... well that's what the doctor calls us anyway. I've heard Mommy and Daddy talking about names, so maybe if we're lucky we'll have one soon. Somehow, I don't think they'll commit for another few months, since our ETA isn't until the end of August. Above is our first photo taken together. This was way back in January. We must be so much bigger now because we can hear people talking about Mommy's growing belly. So, if you are reading this, you must be someone very important to Mommy and Daddy. Please visit with us daily.
